Saw this at the weekend in Queens Road in Leicester (Victoria Park end).

why doesnt he just move it from public road to his private property to avoid this

Make inquiries locally, lots of nice spares there. Probably for free as well

Its because its not MOT'd or Taxed and parked on a public road that the council are going to remove and destroy it. They have done well for it to have expired 6 months ago and only now getting the notice whacked on the car.
Sadly there is not much any of us can do to stop it happening

Failed due to parking brake, and weakened seatbelt anchor points.

73k on the engine though, could be a good 1242 swap for the cento lot

I could probably whip the notices off in passing but not so sure about the plates.

Maybe the answer is to move the notices onto an adjacent, less worthwhile car, and leave the Council to take that instead...?
