General Scudo

Hi thanks for this group.
Am looking at a fiat scudo campervan 2001. 130k diesel. Issues are previous MOT rust on springs and crossmembers as well as heavy underseal. Anyone know how much of an issue these are likely to be please?

Rusty springs are an issue on any older vehicle and it might be advisable to change them. However I have rusty springs on one of our car and its only been 5 years since they were changes and thats around 25000 miles so you might not need this. Fiats now have very thick anti corrosion and its effective. I cant say back that far and the only way to tell is basically to give teh underside a good poking and tapping and listen to see if it sounds lik Its over 20 years old and you must expect corrosion issues at this age and it could be costly with any vehicle Maybe try snf post a picture?.
