I have ordered 4 60mmX15mmX1.5MM compression springs for a delivered cost of €10-30. I had already spent a crazy amount of time trawling the internet and going to shops to find some springs.
The actual spring in the MK2B punto is about 60mm by exactly 14.8mm by 1.4mm with an internal diameter of 11.87 so I am hoping I can sand the new springs to fit and have the right amount of power. The clutch pedal only needs 7kg to hold it down so having the wrong spring is far from ideal.
I have ordered a new master cylinder locally but I have no idea when or if it will come. I can get other cylinders from overseas with postage costs.
Bit of a worry as the 2004 car gets older these 'simple' 'cheap' repairs are going to become harder to achieve..
