The latest problem on my 2.8:
With the engine running at normal temp all seems normal, touch any ancillary i.e. put indicator on, hazard lights, interior light, heater fan and the temp gauge climbs of the scale and all ancillaries suffer power loss.
Switch off the engine, wait till the temp gauge drops to zero restart engine all dashboard lights ok until you touch another ancillary.

Any ideas?

Ditto, definately an earth fault!

Absolutely correct guys; it was actually the main bodywork earth, the one below the battery.
