Local dealer (Glyn Hopkin) are crap, so SWMBOs Doblo has been serviced by an Indy. Suddenly realised that it's done 60k+ and migt need a new cam belt. anyone recommend an indy FIAT specialist in NE Londo,please?

Haven't been to Glyn Hopkin since the last service under warranty (6,000 afair). Got there about 5.30 and was presented with a bill for over £600! during the argumant which followed the main receptionist and service manage went home! Eventually someone checked and found that there were, for some reason, two service schedules on the FIAT system, and they had downloiaded the wrong one. Bill reduced to about £350!
If my wife had gone on her own she would have paid without question and I can imagine the fight that I would have hd to get the money back!!

Can't really dismiss a whole garages work force on someone's mistake (yes a potentially expense one!) most people get a quote in writing beforehand?

Wasn't just the mistake, it was the intransigent attitude to my protest that it was wrong! It wasn't the first problem that the had had with them, at least one had to be escalted to the Managing Director for resolution. I can do without that sort of stress!
As regards quotes, it would seem unnecessary for a routine service, needed to maintain the warranty, as you can't negotiate it!

you can get a service at any vat registered garage using oem parts and it dont invalidate the warranty
