Me too, when I was 20 I joined a sea rowing club and we would launch the boats 6 days a week in the middle of winter up to our n*ts in the sea wearing a T shirt and shorts prior to a 5 mile row, if the sea was too rough we would go for a long run up and down the coast path, followed by circuit training etc. a hot shower and several pints of beer, I was a mere 10.5 stone then.
In the season we would compete in races (some up to 10 miles) every weekend, never won much but I was fit then.
