Still finishing up on my 1981 Spider Barn Find. Had to replace the distributor. The car would run rough especially at slow speeds. The distributor finally failed so I thought that may have been the issue all along. Installed it ( correctly) and the car still runs rough like it did before the replacement. The car runs very rich. Before replacing the distributor the plugs would get very black and oily. I have replaced a lot of parts . Replaced the fuel pump, filter , injectors,fuel control valve (mention that as I think my issue now is fuel related- getting too much) . I just placed an order for a new mass air flow meter. Not sure if this could be the fix but I saw an online post from a guy that described his Spider running the same as mine is now and the AFM fixed it. While Im waiting for the part I was hoping that one of you knowledgeable guys could advise me if Im going in the right direction or I missing something that might fix the issue.
