Which Ducato is that? Or which model / type of a MH is that? Which year?
Ducatos are on sale for more than 40 years already, several models were made since then.

On the x250 model, the instrument panel is part of a computer network, and receives rpm and mph/kph information via the network.
To provide analogue outputs, I suspect that it will use small stepper motors to drive the pointers, as in the earlier x244 model.
On the x244 and I think on later models, the motor spindles have been known to stick, particularly in MHs that have been laid up.
The cure is to remove the panel, and either remove the "glass" so that the needles may be given a gentle nudge, or send the panel to Cartronix for repair.
It ia adviseable to disconnect the battery when removing the panel, and there is a procedure to do this, which allows time for the computer network to shut down. Procedure should be in owners manual.
