General Security lock

Hi Folks,
I wonder if anyone can help. I have bought a security lock for my '03 scudo rear doors. I wonder if anyone has any advice on where to put it? (clean answers only please ).

I have the usual spinning lock problem and thought this would be an answer as the doors are not locked but I don't want to roger the handle and door opening mechanism.

Just wondered if anyone has had previous experience of fitting this type of lock:

That would probably work fine in most cases, but given the height of the doors and how far down are the top hinges I have seen pics of vans where the top has been bent down to gain access, possibly writing the vehicle off when in some cases it was empty.
At the end of the day all you can do is make yours harder and less inviting then the next one.
