His, could someone tell me if it is possible to mirror my phone to my car screen, so i can use navigation on the car screen.
My 500L 2014 doesn't have Navigation, i believe it was an option.
It has Unconnect which links to my phone, can make and receive calls, play Spotify.
But that's about it.
If there's anyway to integrate Android auto?
I see the sell screens, but that won't bea cheap option unless i use Aliexpress, which i see some people have done successfully. But i don't have much faith in Aliexpress.
All advice would greatly appreciated, thanks.

Android Auto only after facelift version.
No option for android before facelift.

I was thinking about replacing my head unit as well, 2013 plate. But then I would loose all settings, like speed of wipers, rain sensor sensitivity etc etc, this little head unit is electronics brain for few car extras, so by removing it, you won't be able to go to settings and change anything in the future.

I got a very knowledgeable fella down the road from me, he does everything car, security entertainment, even helped me with my race bike once.
But like you changing the head unit would take away a lot.
I don't understand why when I have my phone on navigation i can't here the prompts from my navigation app.
There must be way to mirror it on a screen, even it means buying a another display. But the you might aswell buy a Garmin or similar.
I will see Stuart at Actech and let you know thoughts on how we can come to a resolution to this problem.

Mine is 2014 with no Navigation, if he can mirror my screen to the car screen i would be happy, i will let you know how i get on 🤝👍

Hi realecoworldunreal,
I try to phone Stuart today, but he had a day off.
I spoke to his partner, and he said it would be possible to keep all the things in the menu have Navigation and even a reversing camera.
It would mean putting in unit in there new head display, maybe a new facia around the new screen.
But the cost at £900 is a bit too much for a 2014 car.
So i am getting a Garmin, at about £150 it can play my music, take calls, voice control too with Navigation.
You can answer calls and end them with your voice also enter destinations.
I just feel for a car that has done a few miles that money be spent elsewhere.
I think they can upgrade it at the dealers with this Mopar update but that wasn't cheap either.
I think i will go the Garmin way, but I don't know how it will work playing music through the car.
Some more work before i go down this route 🤝👍

To me it sounds like putting head unit from new model with modification to be able to fit it (swap boards between) and keep all stock setting goodies.
I had it on my list "to do", but currently selling car so project binned.
Basically what I wanted to do was to buy new'ish head unit with mirror/android auto support, fit board in to current unit, convert screen lines and buttons.

Maybe at the same price you could buy head unit 2013-2015 with "Navi" button? Then just aftermarket GPS antenna, DAB antenna and you could connect Android phone via bluetooth to make phone calls and to listening music. IT would be then like in my Lounge version. Head unit with "Navi" button has TomTom onboard. About 50pounds for steering wheel + cable and you would get full control on steering. I know it's big project, but....

I have looked into that too,but the head units are coded to every car.
So you would have to get Fiat to recode it, something i haven't asked them yet.
After the cambelt kit and waste gate solenoid, and a new boost sensor.
My next job is a full service and a gearbox oil change.
I am sure your next car will have carplay and Android auto, good luck 👍
