hello ppl my name is Josef from Malta and i'm new to this forum
A few weeks ago i rescued an old 850 special from being scrapped. It used to be an ex-drag car till 1995. Ppl told me it had a fiat twin cam in it.
I found it on the side of a country road with no wheels engine and box..left there to rot, found the owner put on 4 standard rims and off she went to her new home. The chassis is in no good state but the body is in a lovely condition apart from the front which is a bit rotten and the passender door full of pop rivets...but it has a rollcage & a nice widened rear ...about 6 inches & abarth colour
plans are to fit a coupe 2.0ltr 16v turbo engine, fiat racing 5 speed box and a 4-link english axle. Ppl say that i am mad fitting such powerful engine but wtf!!!:slayer:
what i need is a bit of help and courage and some advice for the chassis and suspentions. I already got another 850 as a donor car. The front suspentions are going to be refurbished with uprated dampers, new bushings (possibly polyurethane) and new pads.
Has anyone done it here pls?? Any kind of help will be appretiated. TNX
